A Message from our President

As the new President of Portland Gastroenterology Center (PGC), I want to welcome you to our independent, doctor-owned specialty practice.

In helping over 30,000 patients every year with both urgent and non-urgent digestive health issues, PGC is an extremely busy place. That’s why we’re continually looking for ways to provide the best possible patient experience — like investing in new systems to manage things like patient communications, billing and appointment scheduling more efficiently. For urgent concerns, we make every attempt to schedule patients in a matter of days, if not sooner. And for non-urgent matters such as screening colonoscopies, our goal is to schedule appointments within four months of the initial referral.

We know it can sometimes feel uneasy to enter a clinical environment like PGC, even when it’s for a routine preventive screening. We never lose sight of that fact. Which is why, in addition to providing excellence in clinical gastroenterology care, we always strive to treat you, as a patient of Portland Gastroenterology Center, with the empathy and compassion you deserve.
