Join Our Team as a Reception and Registration Representative!

Are you a friendly and organized individual who loves helping people? We are looking for a Reception and Registration Representative to join our team. In this role, you will make sure our patients feel welcome and help them with their registration. If you enjoy solving problems and providing excellent customer service, this job is for you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet Patients: Welcome patients with a smile and help them register quickly and accurately.
  • Organize Documents: Prepare and organize patient documents for smooth check-ins.
  • Communicate: Inform medical staff about late check-ins and other important information.
  • Assist Patients: Answer questions or direct walk-in guests to the right place.
  • Handle Payments: Collect co-payments and provide receipts to patients.
  • Keep Records: Accurately record all payments and verify insurance information.
  • Scan Documents: Scan and catalog patient documents for easy access.
  • Reschedule Visits: Help reschedule appointments for late arrivals.
  • Prepare for Appointments: Create patient labels and provide necessary forms.
  • Maintain Waiting Areas: Notify appropriate people if waiting areas are not clean, stocked, and presentable.
  • Follow HIPAA Guidelines: Ensure all work and work areas comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Additional Tasks: Complete other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: An Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Experience: One year of related experience is preferred, but six months of training or a combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to handle payments, and proficiency in basic office software.

Physical Demands:

  • Activity Level: You’ll be standing, sitting, walking, lifting (up to 25 pounds), and reaching.
  • Vision: Close vision is required for reading documents and working on the computer.

Work Environment:

  • Setting: You’ll work in a clinic setting, which is usually quiet to moderate in noise level.
  • Stress Level: The job can be moderately stressful, with occasional high-stress situations.

Safety and Infection Control:

  • Clean Environment: Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Proper Handling: Use equipment and materials safely and handle hazardous waste correctly.

Compensation:

Depending on your experience, you’ll start between $20.00 per hour and $21.48 per hour. There is room for growth beyond that point, especially if you prove to be a star performer!
