Clinic Support Specialist
Location: Portland, Maine | Schedule: Full-Time | Model: On-Site
Pay Range: $24.13/hour to $26.54/hour (commensurate with skills, education, and experience)

The Role
The Clinic Support Specialist provides clerical and administrative support to PGC’s Provider Professional Clinic. This is a patient-facing role that keeps the back end of our clinic running smoothly, from checking patients out and handling post-procedure communications to coordinating with external institutions and managing record requests.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a busy clinical environment.
What You’ll Do
- Manage patient check-out, ensuring a smooth and professional experience at the end of each visit
- Prepare and send post-procedure written communications to patients and referring providers
- Coordinate and reconcile schedules with external institutions such as Maine Medical Center
- Process medical record requests in accordance with PGC policy and applicable privacy regulations
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent required; two or more years of related experience preferred
- Healthcare or medical office experience is a plus
- Active BLS certification required (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of start)
- Strong attention to detail, especially when managing patient information and records
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks without losing track of the details
- Professional and compassionate in all patient interactions
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient with computers and standard office software; ability to learn new systems quickly
- Discreet and trustworthy in handling confidential patient information
