General Summary of Duties

Place outbound phone calls to patients to schedule appointments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Place outbound calls to schedule patients with a minimum expectation of calls each day
  • Responsible for following all scheduling protocols and managing patient tasks when unable to reach a patient
  • Ability to data enter patients onto an excel spreadsheet
    • Cross-trained to assist in all areas below:
      • Navigate all in-bound patient service calls and responds per the Central Intake protocols
      • Follows all policies and procedures for in-bound Call Center and in-bound fax queues as established
      • Follows all policies and procedures on data entry, referral processing, requesting additional records
      • Schedules patients for all appointments and procedures as instructed
      • Provides follow up communication per protocol via letter, phone, or fax
      • Confirms all appointments as stated in the protocol
      • Follows all policies and procedures for patient recall protocol
      • Responsible for answering the provider services lines
  • Performs other clerical duties as needed
  • Performs other projects as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Medical assistant degree strongly preferred.
  • Ability to navigate an EMR
  • Ability to navigate a computer and computer programs

Hours of Operation

This position is scheduled Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm. Hours may vary, or change based on operational needs of the business.
