If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Procurement Supervisor position at Portland Gastroenterology Center!
What You’ll Do
As our Procurement Supervisor, you’ll help make sure the right supplies, tools, and equipment are ordered and delivered to the right people at the right time. You’ll work with vendors and coworkers to keep things running efficiently and cost-effectively. Some of your main tasks will include:
- Helping departments figure out what supplies they need
- Comparing prices and choosing the best options
- Reviewing and approving purchase orders
- Talking with vendors to fix problems or ask questions
- Keeping track of supply levels and staying ahead of future needs
- Following budgets and making smart purchasing decisions
- Making sure all paperwork is complete and accurate
- Creating and improving purchasing systems
- Helping the team stick to policies and procedures

- Communicates clearly with both coworkers and vendors
- Solves problems calmly and efficiently
- Can manage your time and tasks without much supervision

What You Bring
To succeed in this role, you should have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business (preferred), plus 5 years of purchasing experience
OR
An Associate’s degree in Business and 7 years of purchasing experience
OR
A mix of education and experience that shows you can do the job
Bonus points if you have any of these certifications (not required, but great to have!):
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Certified Procurement Professional (CPP)
A Few More Details
- You’ll mostly work at a desk in an office setting
- You’ll need to be comfortable sitting, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds
- You’ll use a computer daily and work closely with other departments
- Some tasks may involve light physical activity like bending or reaching

Compensation
- Pay grade 27
- Minimum: $28.78/hour ($57,701.79 annually)
- Maximum: $37.17/hour ($77,316.17 annually)
- Pay is commensurate with education and experience
