Medical Assistant, Call Center

General Summary of Duties

The position navigates all inbound patient services phone calls in our call center, schedules patients for appointments, and manages inbound fax communications. In addition, the position confirms appointments and provides follow-up communications per protocol via letter, phone, or fax. The position also handles patient recall, answers the provider services line, and performs other clerical duties and projects as needed.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and a medical assistant degree.
  • Certification as a RMA or CMA is strongly desired.
  • Ability to navigate an EMR.
  • Ability to navigate a computer and computer programs.

Hours of Operation

This position is scheduled Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm. Hours may vary or change based on operational needs of the practice.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Nurse Manager of Operations.
