Summary of General Duties
The Endoscopy technician is responsible for the preparation of the patient, room, and scopes in a team setting, which includes the physician, endoscopy nurse, and recovery nurse.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains current knowledge regarding physical layout of the equipment and supplies.
- Endoscopy responsibilities include turning over patient room, scope and accessory cleaning, and stocking of rooms.
- Maintains thorough working knowledge of all equipment.
- Assists Endoscopy RN during procedure as needed.
- Monitors the safety and wellbeing of the patient.
- Knowledge of emergency equipment location.
- Other assigned duties.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. On-the-job training will be provided.

Compensation
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Lunches paid
- Monday through Friday
- Pay grade 19
- $20.00 minimum
- $20.45 midpoint
- $24.36 maximum
Employee Exposure Determination – Category B
Per OSHA Regulations, any employee whose position classification falls into either Category A or B will be offered the Hepatitis B vaccination.
